Jammu & Kashmir: A tragic terrorist attack on Sunday evening near a campsite of the Z-mode tunnel at Gagangeer in central Kashmirs Ganderbal district claimed the lives of six non-local labourers and a doctor. Five others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for urgent medical attention. According to police reports, the terrorists targeted a labour camp housing workers employed by a private company involved in tunnel construction. The sudden assault left several fatalities on-site, with the deceased identified as Dr. Shahnawaz, Faheem Nazir, Kaleem, Mohammad Hanif, Shashi Abrol, Anil Shukla, and Gurmeet Singh.Immediate Security ResponseFollowing the attack, local police and security forces swiftly mobilized to secure the area and launch a search operation to track down the assailants.
