J-K: Fresh encounter in Pulwama, 1 terrorist shot dead

A fresh encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Pulwama district on Thursday, in which one terrorist has been neutralised, the police officials said on Friday.

According to the officials, a gun battle broke out at New Colony in the Arihal area of the district on Thursday after security forces launched an anti-militancy operation in the orchards.

1 terrorist killed

As the operation continued, one terrorist was shot dead, the officials added.

However, the identity and group affiliation of the terrorists were not known immediately, the officials said.
