After making the dream come true of 140 crore citizens and making India reach on Moon after the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon on August 23, 2023, ISRO on Thursday has released the first picture of rover coming out of the lander on the ramp.

Taking it to Twitter, the organisation announced, “Chandrayaan-3 ROVER: Made in India 🇮🇳 Made for the MOON🌖! The Ch-3 Rover ramped down from the Lander and India took a walk on the moon !”

Notably, India’s Moon mission got accomplished successfully on Wednesday.

According to the scientists, after making the perfect landing at the moon, the next big step was the landing of the Pragyan rover, which will send the data from the spot to the lander.

The rover’s cameras and other delicate equipment might be damaged if it is wheeled out before the dust has a chance to settle, according to the scientists. However, it happened more quickly than the day that ISRO Chief S. Somnath had mentioned.

The rover will emerge in a short while. Sometimes, a day is needed. In the exhilarating minutes following the landing, Mr. Somnath had told reporters that the rover would conduct two tests once it was released.  “After Pragyan’s arrival, we are in for a really exciting moment… For 14 days, it would conduct experiments, he had stated.

It is to be noted here that Chandrayaan-3 is the first moon mission to reach south pole of the moon.
