While the lander of Chandrayaan-2 crashed during the landing on the Moon in 2019, its orbiter since then has been gathering and sharing the important data to the Indian scientists.

And now, according to the latest images shared by the organisation on Friday, Chandrayaan-3 lander was spotted on the Moon by the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter using its high-resolution camera. However, soon after sharing the images, the department deleted them.

It is to be noted here that hours after the ‘Vikram’ lander of the Chandrayaan-3 mission successfully attempted the soft landing on the lunar surface, the camera of orbiter of ISRO’s last Moon mission captured the spacecraft. Notably, it had the best resolution anyone currently has around the moon.

The post reads, “I spy you! 🙂” Isro posted on X. “Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter 📸photoshoots Chandrayaan-3 Lander!”

“Chandrayaan-2’s Orbiter High-Resolution Camera (OHRC), — the camera with the best resolution anyone currently has around the moon – spots Chandrayaan-3 Lander after the landing on 23/2³/23,” it added.

However, the post has been deleted by ISRO few moments later.

India scripted the history on August 23, 2023, after making the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon, becoming the first country to reach the south pole and fourth among the nations to achieve this feat.
