While expressing grief on the death of three jawans killed during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday, Union Minister General VK Singh said, if we want to build the pressure, we have to isolate Pakistan. He said, “We have to think. Because unless we isolate Pakistan they will think it is business as normal…If we have to bring them under pressure, we have to isolate them. They need to know that no normal relations can be maintained unless you yourselves become normal.”

An Indian Army Colonel Manpreet Singh commanding a Rashtriya Rifles Unit along with a Major Ashish Dhonak and a Deputy Superintendent of Police Humayun Bhat were killed in a gunfight with terrorists in Kokernag area of Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

While addressing media persons, the minister further said, “We lost our three officers. It’s painful. But this should not be looked at in the way that militancy is rising again.”

Meanwhile, Indian Army along with Jammu and Kashmir Police resumed the operation against the terrorists in the Kokernag area of the Anantnag district on Thursday.
