Bihar News: A horrific incident in Begusarai, Bihar, has left a village in shock after a 14-year-old deaf and mute girl was abducted and raped near the Budhi Gandak river dam on Wednesday evening. The accused, identified as Buchul Singh, reportedly kidnapped four to five girls from an e-rickshaw before releasing the others and targeting the victim. According to eyewitnesses, the assault was interrupted when a fisherman and a farmer heard the cries of the children and raised an alarm, forcing the perpetrator to flee.Victim in Critical ConditionThe victim was found soaked in blood and taken home by locals, who immediately informed the police via Dial 112. She was rushed to Sadar Hospital for urgent treatment. Despite the gravity of the situation, local authorities have yet to conduct a medical examination or record her statement, even after 12 hours of the incident.The victims mother accused the police of apathy, stating that no medical tests had been performed and no official case had been registered. She revealed that Narayan Singhs son, Buchul Singh, was the accused. “My daughter was forcibly taken to the dam and raped. The police are not taking any action,” she said.Panchayats Pressure Raises QuestionsFurther complicating the case, the victims family has alleged that village representatives and public figures are pressuring them to resolve the matter through a panchayat rather than filing an official complaint. The family claimed the police also supported this approach.The incident has sparked outrage, with calls for swift and transparent investigation.
