Cricket fever is set to grip India once again as the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) gears up for its 18th edition in 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule, promising a thrilling season packed with high-octane matches across multiple venues.

IPL 2025: A Spectacle of Cricket

The TATA IPL 2025 will commence on March 22 and conclude with the final on May 25. The season will feature 74 matches played across 13 venues, including 12 double-headers to maximize the cricketing action. The afternoon games are scheduled to begin at 03:30 PM IST, while the evening games will start at 07:30 PM IST. The opening match will see the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), hosting the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22.

Venues and Key Clashes

The league stage will be played across 12 stadiums in India. Several teams will play their home games at multiple venues. Delhi Capitals (DC) will split their home games between Visakhapatnam and the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Rajasthan Royals (RR) will play some home games in Guwahati and the remaining at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Punjab Kings (PBKS) will play four home matches at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh and three in Dharamsala at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.

Playoffs and Finals

Following the league stage, the playoffs will be held in Hyderabad and Kolkata. Hyderabad will host Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator on May 20 and May 21, respectively. Kolkata will then host Qualifier 2 on May 23 and the final on May 25.

Ticket Booking and Fan Engagement

As the excitement builds, fans are keen on securing their tickets to witness the live action. Although the BCCI is yet to release official booking guidelines, previous seasons indicate that tickets will primarily be available online. Fans can expect to purchase tickets via official team websites and authorized platforms such as BookMyShow, Paytm, and Zomato Insider, with potential offline availability at stadium counters. Ticket prices will vary depending on the stadium, match significance, and seating arrangement.
