In view of International Trade Fair 2023 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi from November 14 to November 27, Delhi traffic police has issued traffic advisory.
To ensure the smooth traffic in the vicinity of Pragati Maidan, following measures will be taken:
Delhi traffic police has directed to avoid Bhairon Marg, Purana Quila Road, Shershah Road, Mathura Road from W-Point to Mathura Road - Subramaniam Bharti Marg Crossing.
In addition to this, the commuters have been asked to avoiding/bypassing the above-mentioned roads, if possible, and make maximum use of public transport to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for the visitors to Trade Fair.
Apart from this, people who are going towards ISBT/Railway Stations/Airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand.
According to the official information the entry to the IITF will only be allowed for Business Visitors from 14th to 18th November, 2023. Trade Fair will be open for general public from 19th to 27th November, 2023.
There will be no entry for Trade Fair after 05:30 PM on all days.
As per notifications, there will be no sale of tickets at Pragati Maidan. The tickets would be sold online and at selected Metro Stations (except Supreme Court Metro Station).
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be selling India International Trade Fair (IITF) entry tickets for ‘Business Days’ (Nov 14-Nov 18, 2023) from Tuesday (Nov 14, 2023) onwards & for ‘General Public Days’ (Nov 19-Nov 27, 2023) from Sunday (Nov 19, 2023) onwards from 55 Metro stations.
The theme of the 42nd edition of IITF 2023 is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - United by Trade.”
According to the official sources, as many as 3,500 exhibitors from India and other countries like UAE, Iran, and Thailand will showcase their products during the 14-day international trade fair, beginning here at Pragati Maidan on Tuesday.
Representatives from 13 countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman, Egypt, Nepal, Thailand, Turkiye, Vietnam, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Iran, and UAE are participating in the event.
