Indore: Speeding BMW hits scooter, sends 2 women flying; Horrific CCTV footage surfaces

The driver of the BMW fled the scene immediately after the accident. Police have registered a case against the car’s owner and driver and have initiated a search operation to locate them.

New Delhi: In a tragic accident in Indore on Saturday night, two women riding a scooter were killed after their vehicle was allegedly hit by a speeding BMW car. The victims, identified as Diksha Jadon and Lakshmi Tomar, were returning from the Khajrana Ganesh temple fair when the incident occurred, according to report.

Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Singh Sendhav stated, "Eyewitnesses reported that a BMW car rammed into the scooter. The impact threw both women onto the road, causing critical injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries."

BMW hit and run case 

Lakshmi Tomar, originally from Shivpuri, had been supporting her family after her father's death last year. She was the sole breadwinner and had been working in Indore. Diksha Jadon, from Gwalior, was employed at a public sector bank in Indore, police officials added.The driver of the BMW fled the scene immediately after the accident. Police have registered a case against the car’s owner and driver and have initiated a search operation to locate them.

Past incidents of luxury car crashes

This incident is eerily similar to other fatal accidents involving luxury cars in India. In May, two software engineers were killed in Pune after being hit by a Porsche driven by a 17-year-old. In July, a woman in Mumbai was killed after being struck by a BMW driven by the son of a political leader.
