Indian passengers from France held flight quizzed by CISF; Here's what lies ahead

CISF on Tuesday interrogated Indian passengers who are back from France implicated in alleged human trafficking case.

At least 276 Indian passengers who were grounded in France for four days over alleged human trafficking probe are back in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. Soon after landing, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials the Indian passengers implicated in an alleged human trafficking scam.

According to the sources, the some of the passengers were integrated by the CISF officials, following which they were allowed to leave. Meanwhile, some passengers are still being interrogated.

It is to be noted here that 27 out 303 passengers have been detained in France. Those who landed in Mumbai were questioned extensively. Apart from this, the passengers tried their best to avoid queries from the waiting media at the airport.

Why the plane was grounded in France?

The flight was headed from Dubai to Nicaragua but was landed at the Vatry airport in France, citing ‘a technical halt’ as a reason of landing. 
Earlier on Monday, the Vatry Airport authorities and the French government were commended by the Indian Embassy in France for their kindness and prompt action in resolving the issue that permitted the Indian passengers to return home.

The French authorities' collaboration in closely collaborating with the embassy team and guaranteeing the safe repatriation of nationals was also praised by the embassy.
