The political row that erupted on Tuesday over the name ‘The President of Bharat’ instead of ‘The President of India’ on the invitation sent for the dinner of G20 on September 9, the opposition has been attacking the Central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Apart from this, there have been speculations also, whether BJP is planning for the change in name from ‘INDIA to Bharat’. Rubbing all the rumours, the BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra on Tuesday evening shared a post which talks about the Prime Minister’s visit to Indonesia for the 20th ASEAN-India Summit and the 18th East Asia Summit referred to Narendra Modi as the “Prime Minister of Bharat”.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur, while talking to media reporters also refused about the rumours on the name change, he said, “I think these are just rumours which are taking place. People who are making issue to the word Bharat clearly shows the mindset.”

It is to be noted here that remarks from the union minister came after the invitation were sent to all the opposition parties and celebrities ahead of G20 Summit in Delhi, which is all set to welcome the officials and delegates from across the world.
