As per the fresh data coming in from MyGovIndia, India has topped the list of countries involving digital payments. India witnessed 89.5 million digital transactions in 2022, according to MyGovIndia.As per the data, in 2022, India accounted for 46% of the global real-time payments. Brazil was followed by China with 17.6 million transactions, Thailand with 16.5 million and South Korea with 8 million transactions, as per the data furnished by MyGovIndia.It should be noted that earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared that India is number one in digital payments and that the countrys rural economy is transforming.Modi stated, “India is number one in digital payments and one of the countries where mobile data is the cheapest.”
