India is preparing to mark its 75th Republic Day on January 26, 2024, with various festivities and events. In anticipation of the celebrations, airspace restrictions will be enforced in the national capital, Delhi, from January 19 to 29. During this period, non-scheduled flights, including those of scheduled airlines and chartered flights, will not be allowed to land or take off between 10AM and 1.15PM from January 19 to 25. On Republic Day (January 26), there will be a comprehensive restriction on flights from 6AM to 9PM. Notably, scheduled flights will not be affected during these restrictions. The NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Airports Authority of India provides essential information for flight operations.French President Emmanuel Macron is set to be the chief guest for the 75th Republic Day celebrations, marking the 6th occasion of a French leader being the chief guest at Republic Day. Additionally, the Border Security Forces all-women marching and brass band contingents will participate in the parade, showcasing Kartavya Path. The Republic Day parade will also feature 2,274 cadets from all 28 states and eight Union Territories, with a record participation of 907 girl cadets in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2024.The celebrations aim to honor the historic moment when India transitioned to an independent republic after the Constitution came into effect, symbolizing the nations journey towards freedom and democracy.
