Delhi: India’s music landscape has undergone a massive transformation over the past year, with global and homegrown artists enthralling fans with spectacular live concerts. From Coldplay and Ed Sheeran to Diljit Dosanjh, the surge in high-profile concerts has reshaped India's concert-going culture. Singer Armaan Malik, who has a dedicated fan following, recently shared his thoughts on the growing live music culture in India.

Concerts: More than just music, a cultural movement

Armaan highlighted the various motivations that draw people to concerts. "There are core fans who attend concerts because they genuinely love the artist and want to hear their music live. Then, some find these artists ‘cool’ and want to experience the vibe. Another segment of the audience attends concerts purely due to FOMO (fear of missing out) because of the massive hype around them," he said. However, he emphasized that concerts go beyond just entertainment—they provide a sense of escape and connection. "When people gather at a concert and connect through music, it creates a beautiful moment. For two to three hours, they forget their worries and immerse themselves in an experience that lifts their spirits. That is the magic of a live performance."
