INDIA bloc protests over mass suspension of MPs around Parliament

The move by the suspended MPs have come when the Union Minister Amit Shah will move the three criminal code bills for the consideration and passage on Thursday.

The protest by the suspended opposition leaders of the INDIA bloc from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over this week took out a protest march Thursday morning from the old Parliament building to Vijay Chowk in central Delhi displaying the placards and banner of "Save Democracy" and "Opposition MPs Suspended! Is This The End of Democracy?" and "Parliament Caged, Democracy Expelled!"

The move has come when the Union Minister Amit Shah will move the three criminal code bills for the consideration and passage on Thursday. 

These three bills include the Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, 2023, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023 and the Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill, 2023 that were passed by the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the protest by 141 suspended opposition is likely to continue by the opposition leaders over December 13 Parliament Security breach. According to reports, the suspended leaders have decided to hold a nationwide protest, including one at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

While speaking to ANI, Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain said, "They ousted one MP to protect one MP. This clearly shows their intentions.”

CPI(M) MP John Brittas said that they are protesting against the brutal killing of democracy.

CISF replaces Delhi Police at Parliament

Meanwhile, the CISF will be deployed for the comprehensive security of the Parliament. The decision by the centre has been taken days after the major security breach in the Parliament. According to the sources, the government is in talks with concerned stakeholders to give comprehensive security to the institution. 

However, the final decision on this is likely to come by next week.
