The Haryana police have arrested Sachin, the prime accused in the murder of Congress worker and law student Himani Narwal from Rohtak. Sachin is currently in police custody, but Himani’s mother, Savita Narwal, has expressed dissatisfaction with the investigation. She questioned the motive behind her daughter’s murder, which the police have yet to clarify.
On Tuesday, when police took Sachin to the residence of Himani for collecting evidence, Savita fainted when she saw him. "I am not happy with the police investigation," she stated. "Even if we imagine there was a scuffle that resulted in her killing, why was her mobile phone, tablet, and laptop taken away from the spot? This is my question to the Haryana government."

This is a case, even if we believe there was a fight and she died, but the manner in which mobile phone, tab and laptop were removed from here, this is the main issue. Savita Narwal called for an explanation of why her daughter was killed. Denying reports of a close relationship between Himani and Sachin, she said, "My daughter was a leader who worked with everyone but did not have deep friendships. Money was not a motive either, as she used to deal with influential people on a daily basis. The accused stole valuables from my home—then why did he kill her?"
Savita gave a terrifying threat: "If the accused is not put to death, I will commit suicide. The government will be held accountable as my daughter was murdered in our own house, and now her reputation is being sullied."
Himani’s body was discovered last Saturday in a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand in Rohtak. Sachin admitted to knowing Himani for over a year and frequently visiting her home. Himani had also participated in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and traveled to Kashmir as part of the campaign.
