In Hyderabad, a tragic incident unfolded as a woman allegedly took the life of her 19-year-old daughter on Wednesday, reportedly due to a confrontation over her relationship with her boyfriend at their residence, according to police statements.Authorities stated that Jangamma purportedly strangled her daughter Bhargavi at their Ibrahimpatnam home upon discovering her with her boyfriend while they were alone in the house. The sequence of events transpired when Jangamma returned home for lunch from work on Wednesday and found Bhargavi in the company of her boyfriend.Following this discovery, Jangamma reportedly asked the boyfriend to leave the premises and then proceeded to physically assault her daughter before using a saree to strangle her, as per police reports.Ibrahimpatnam police officer Satyanarayana confirmed to NDTV that the victims younger brother, who was present during the incident, witnessed the assault and subsequently filed a complaint against his mother. According to the police, he observed the altercation through a window.The tragic development stemmed from Jangammas desire to arrange Bhargavis marriage, as the family was actively searching for potential matches, law enforcement officials disclosed.
