A 25-year-old man, Balwinder Singh, was apprehended by Hyderabad Police on Sunday after allegedly shooting his girlfriends father, Revant Anand, with an air gun. The incident reportedly occurred after Anand sent his daughter to the United States, severing her relationship with Balwinder, who had been a former classmate. Angered by this decision, Balwinder confronted Anand at his home in Venkateswara Colony, where an argument escalated into violence.
