Hyderabad extends restaurant hours, liquor outlets maintain regular schedule

In one of the recent announcements, the city of Hyderabad has decided to extend the operational hours for its restaurants, allowing them to remain open until 1 am. The announcement was made by the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that the eateries to remain open till late night. This new regulation aims to cater to the growing demand for late-night dining options, providing a boost to the city’s vibrant culinary scene.

According to the sources, the move by the CM has been taken following several complaints, including statement by AIMIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Extended Hours for Restaurants

Starting immediately, restaurants across Hyderabad will have the flexibility to operate until 1 am. This decision is expected to enhance the dining experience for residents and visitors, offering more choices for late-night meals. Liquor Outlets to Close at Usual Time

In contrast to the extended hours for restaurants, liquor outlets in Hyderabad will adhere to their regular closing times. This means that while diners can enjoy their meals later into the night, the availability of alcoholic beverages will remain consistent with existing regulations.

According to Reddy, the decision has been taken in Telangana Assembly after consulting police commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyderabad abd Ranchakonda. However, he further cleared that he is against promoting the liquor consumption, so wine shops will get closed on time.

The decision aims to strike a balance between enhanced dining options and maintaining control over the sale of alcohol.
