A shocking murder incident has surfaced from Uttar Pradesh, where the body of a woman who was murdered by her husband and thrown into the Mussoorie Ganga canal in Ghaziabad district has not been found even after 6 days. According to the officials, the search operation is still underway. The Ganga canal is in spate due to flood water, so there is some difficulty in rescue. Meanwhile, the police have arrested the accused, who has been identified as Mohammad Alam and sent him to jail on Thursday. As per sources, the vehicle that is used by the accused in the crime belonged to a customer who came to him for repair. The preliminary investigation has revealed that accused brought the victim to the hospital, where he made his wife sit in the car took her to the Ganga canal and strangled her with a dupatta. On July 20, Poojas husband Mohammad Alam reached the police station and reported her disappearance. Soon after, Poojas sister approached the police station and suspected her husband Mohammad Alam of kidnapping, following which the police took Mohammad Alam into custody on July 22. During interrogation, he confessed to killing Pooja and throwing her body in the Mussoorie Ganga canal. Earlier, he had a mechanic shop near Samrat Chowk in Ghaziabads Vijaynagar police station area and met Pooja here only. Both lived in a live-in relationship in different places for many years. 6 months ago, both of them got married. Mohammad Alam was already married. He wanted to live with both the wives. They used to get involved in the frequent fights. Puja called Alam on July 19, but he refused to come home citing that he was in the hospital with his child. Following this, Puja went straight to the hospital. Alam took her in a Santro car and took her to the Mussoorie Ganga canal. He strangled her with his dupatta and threw the body in the canal. In this case, Alam was arrested on Thursday and sent to jail, but the body has not been recovered yet.
