According to the media reports, Anju Pandey’s ordeal began shortly after her marriage, driven by relentless demands for dowry. The video that has been shared by Kavish Aziz shows that Anju was subjected to extreme physical and emotional torment by her husband and her in-laws. In her harrowing testimony, Anju describes being hung upside down, stripped of her clothes, and brutally beaten. She was forced to drink hot oil, her hair was forcibly cut, and her lips were burned with a hot knife. In an act of unspeakable cruelty, an iron rod was used to brand her entire body.

Each time she tried to run away, she was caught, dragged back, and subjected to severe beatings. According to the post, the abuse was not limited to Anju’s husband alone. Her father-in-law, Kripu Pandey, mother-in-law Usha, and other in-laws actively participated in the brutal treatment.
