Tamil Nadu: Actor- turned- politician Kamal Haasan has explosively opposed the Centre's offer for administrative constituency delimitation, advising that it could disrupt India's civil structure and undermine the country's diversity.Speaking at an each- party meeting convened by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday, the Makkal Needhi Maiam( MNM) principal advised that the move promotes a homogenised " Hindia " and could disproportionately affect several countries beyond Tamil Nadu, including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Odisha, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and the northeastern countries.

We do not have enough representation 

Haasan, who has been nominated for Rajya Sabha by Stalin's DMK party, reiterated his station that countries which successfully controlled population growth shouldn't be penalised. India  had 543 Members of Parliament( MPs). He cited once opinions by former high ministers in 1976 and 2001, who upheld civil principles by abstain from redrawing administrative constituencies grounded on population. moment, with 1.45 billion people, we're still effectively governed with the same number of MPs. This means we do not have enough representation.
