This Republic Day will mark the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the constitution. The parade will take place on Friday, January 26, and will start between 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The venue of the parade is Kartavya Path, New Delhi. The path of the parade is set up at Vijay Chowk to India Gate. The total distance of the path is 5 km. It is better to get tickets as soon as possible because they may sell out fast and a daily allocation process takes place. Below you can find the step-by-step process of purchasing tickets online as well as in person for the Republic Day Parade 2024. Steps to purchasing tickets online:1. Visit websiteVisit the Ministry of Defences official website. On there, you can sign up for the event. You will receive an OTP on your mobile phone to complete the registration. 2. Dropdown MenuNext, pick the event that you wish to attend from the dropdown menu. You will see the choices such as FDR Republic Day Parade, Republic Day Parade, and Beating the Retreat.3. Attendees InformationFor each person attending provide their name, age, address, gender, and photo ID for verification. 4. Photo IDYou can provide a scanned version of your photo ID. You can use documents such as a passport, driving license, PAN card, voter ID card, or Aadhaar card.5. Tickets Options Reserved seats are priced at INR 500. Unreserved seats are priced at INR 100. Unreserved seats with a restricted view cost INR 20. You can purchase up to 4 tickets in each transaction. 6. Payment ProcessTo make the payment you can use your debit card, credit card, wallet, online banking, or UPI. 7. ConfirmationOnce the payment has been made successfully, you will receive a confirmation email and SMS. Here you will find your booking details and a QR code will be provided. Purchasing tickets in personThe offline ticket sales began on January 7, 2024, and will close post January 25, 2024. The tickets will be available for purchase on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Sundays and holidays, they will be purchasable from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There are many counters allocated around Delhi at which the tickets can be purchased.Steps to purchasing tickets in person:1. Ticket counterVisit the designated Republic Day ticket counter or find an authorized sales outlet.2. Photo IDOnce you reach a counter, you must provide a photocopy as well as your original photo ID. Documents that identify as photo IDs are Aadhar cards, voter ID cards, PAN cards, passports, and driving licenses.3. Category of tickets Next, you will choose the category of the ticket(s) that you want to purchase. The same as mentioned above. Also, you will provide the quantity of tickets.4. Collect ticket You can make a cash payment and collect your tickets and receipts from the counter. You are required to bring your tickets and original photo ID proof on the day of the event. These are needed at the entry gate of the venue as verification. Post showing these 2 documents you will be allowed to enter the parades premises.
