New Delhi: In Gwalior, a startling case has come to light involving a maid who transformed her identity to seize a retired additional secretarys property. Deepak Saxena, a former additional secretary in the Gujarat government, reported to the police that his maid executed an elaborate plan. She forged documents such as a PAN card, Aadhaar card, and voter ID card to pose as his wife and daughter. This maid, originally named Salma and hailing from Bangladesh, adopted the name Meenu Saxena to claim inheritance.According to Meenu, she had lived in Deepak Saxenas household since childhood, serving his father devotedly. She claimed that Deepaks father was so pleased with her service that he transferred the house and land into her name. However, Deepak Saxena alleges that Meenu fabricated documents and created a fake will to claim the property, which legally cannot be transferred through a will if it is ancestral.Fake identity Meenu Saxena asserts she is a member of the Saxena family, but Deepak maintains that she is Salma from Bangladesh. Deepak recalls that Salma used to work as a laborer in Noida and had a picture of Islamic significance in her house. He believes that, with the help of conspirators from Bangladesh, she managed to forge documents to claim his property. The police have recorded Deepak Saxenas statement regarding this elaborate fraud.From maid to mistressGwalior IG Arvind Saxena explained that Salma had been working for Deepaks family in Noida for a long time and earned their trust. Deepak had sent her to Gwalior to take care of his aging father. During this period, Salma harbored ambitions of rising from a maid to the mistress of the house. After Deepaks father passed away, Salma, now calling herself Meenu Saxena, procured fake identification documents to support her claim.Salmas scheme unraveledSalmas deception involved claiming to be both the wife and daughter of Prem Narayan in various documents. When Deepak Saxena visited Gwalior in March, Salma had goons beat him up and evict him from his own home, declaring it as her property. The scam began to unravel when Salma attempted to sell property in Morena worth 2.5 crores and applied for its transfer. Deepaks uncle, who was also a shareholder, intervened, revealing the fraud as the transfer required his consent.Deepak Saxena has lodged a formal complaint with the police in Gwalior, leading to a case of fraud being registered. However, Salma, who fled after selling household goods, remains at large. The authorities suspect that she is part of a larger gang involved in this scam.
