On Tuesday night, the gruesome murder of Kriti Kumari, a 24-year-old woman from Bihar, at a paying guest (PG) facility in Bengaluru's Koramangala was recorded by CCTV. The footage, recently released by the police, shows a man entering the building and attacking Kumari, though his identity remains unknown.

The CCTV footage reveals the man knocking on Kumari's door. Although the door is not visible in the footage, his entry suggests that Kumari opened it. Approximately 20 seconds later, the man is seen dragging Kumari into the corridor and pinning her against a wall. He then produced a knife and attacked her, stabbing her multiple times in the neck. Despite her attempt to resist, Kumari was overpowered, and the attacker fled the scene.

Following the attack, Kumari is shown sitting on the floor, bleeding profusely. The other residents of the PG facility quickly emerged, with one of them appearing to call the police.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand confirmed that a rapid investigation is underway. “We have formed three teams to investigate the murder,” he stated. “The killer will be apprehended soon.”

Security concerns raised
