The Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud on Thursday announced that Supreme Court of India is now being integrated into the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) platform. It was earlier, outside the domain of NJDG.

Notably, this platform will help in enabling the tracking of case pendency in real-time. According to the information, the platform has been developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in collaboration with the Supreme Court’s in-house team.

The platform will not only help in giving the information about the pending data but will also provide the disposal rate of courts right from the taluka level to the national level. Currently, the portal is just integrated to show data for up to the high court level.

The announcement on Thursday came soon after CJI started the proceedings for the day in the apex court, he said data of the top court will be uploaded on the NJDG on real time basis.
