Historic Moment: PM Modi Visits RSS Headquarters for First Time, Honors Dr. Hedgewar

In a moment steeped in symbolism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his first visit to the RSS headquarters in Nagpur since assuming office, paying heartfelt tribute to Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The visit, marking a significant alignment of political and ideological roots, underscores Modi’s deep connection to the organization that shaped his early years as a pracharak.

Nagpur: On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Smriti Mandir in Nagpur and paid tribute to RSS founder Dr. KB Hedgewar. Let us tell you that RSS is organizing a function on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. From here the Prime Minister will go to the RSS headquarters and attend the function. This is his first visit to the RSS headquarters after becoming the Prime Minister.

PM steps into RSS Headquarters

The memorials of Hedgewar and RSS's second Sarsanghchalak MS Golwalkar are located at Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Mandir in Reshimbagh area of ​​Nagpur. The Prime Minister also visited Deekshabhoomi. Here he paid tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. This is the same place where Babasaheb embraced Buddhism. Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with thousands of his followers at Deekshabhoomi in 1956. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 'Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre', which has been built by expanding the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute and Research Centre .

A Milestone Visit

'Madhav Netralaya Premium Center' was established in 2014 and is a premier 'super-specialty' eye care facility. The institute was established in the memory of Dr. Golwalkar. 'Madhav Netralaya Premium Center' will have a 250-bed hospital, 14 outpatient departments (OPDs) and 14 modular operation theaters, aimed at providing affordable and world-class eye treatment services to the people. PM Modi will also visit the arsenal facility of 'Solar Defense and Aerospace Limited' in Nagpur and inaugurate the newly constructed 1,250 meter long and 25 meter wide runway for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Breaking New Ground

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the 'Live Munition and Warhead' test centre established for testing 'Loitering Munition' and other guided war materials. Let us tell you that violence had taken place in Nagpur a few days ago. After this, the Prime Minister's visit to Nagpur is considered important. According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also have a one-on-one discussion with the RSS chief. It is believed that there may also be a discussion related to the election of the BJP President in the coming days. The person who will be elected as the BJP President in 2025 will have a tenure till 2028. It can also be extended till the 2029 general elections.
