In a blow to Congress, the Cabinet Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Vikramaditya Singh, resigned from office one day following the state's Rajya Sabha election results.

Singh had accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of disdaining MLAs and belittling his father, the late Virbhadra Singh, the party's tallest leader in the mountainous state. This occurred in the wake of abrupt changes in Himachal Pradesh that transformed an election for a single Rajya Sabha seat into a struggle for the Congress government's survival in the last 24 hours.

Here's what Singh said:

Vikramaditya mentioned holding appropriate conversations and considerations with his supporters, people, and well-wishers in the future and that they will decide on the next line of action after having a proper debate.

Singh stated that he had informed the party high command of the true circumstances. The party high command now has the initiative, and it is up to them to determine what will happen next. The party high command will shortly make the remaining judgements after careful consideration and in the best interests of the organisation, the party, and the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Faltering aliance yet respects held high

Singh stated that he has always respected the CM and the leadership and has helped to keep the government operating with the necessary discipline. He continued by saying that he gave the Congress government his wholehearted support during his final year as a minister.Singh also expressed his respect for the CM's cooperation among the Council of Ministers and stated that the violation of trust is what has caused him to resign from the position today. There were attempts from certain quarters to degrade Singh while he was in the cabin.

An emotional seeoff!

They were unable to locate a tiny place for his father's statue at Mall Road, indicating the lack of respect exhibited by the party, despite the fact that the person was the state's chief minister six times and the reason this government was founded in the state. Singh broke down in tears and said that he was hurting not politically but emotionally from his sad circumstances and had nothing to do with his posts.
