The significance and importance of Aditya L1

After Chandrayaan-3, ISRO, adding another feather to its hat, launched Aditya L1, on Saturday. It aims to study the properties of the sun from a vantage point at the Sun-Earth Lagrangian point, which is about 1.5 million kilometers away from Earth. Built to observe, the L1 will take 125 days to reach the exact radius.

ISRO chairman S. Somanath mentioned in a statement that “The data from this mission will help explain various phenomena taking place in the atmosphere and aid climate change studies.”
