Heavy rains hit Uttarkashi last night, causing the Yamuna River to swell significantly. As a result, vehicles parked in the Janaki Chatti parking lot in Yamunotri were stranded due to rising water levels. The intense rainfall led to flooding in the area, disrupting normal activities and complicating transportation.

Authorities are working to manage the situation and assist those affected by the flooding. The impact of the rains was so severe that it has raised concerns about further potential damage and safety issues in the region.
