Heavy rain distruption in Hyderabad: IMD issues yellow alert

The sudden hit of rainfall in Hyderabad led to massive traffic distruption the the various parts of the city. Heavy rainfall has imposed a number of challanges to the commuters.

Heavy rain ravaged hyderabad causing significant watterlogging and traffic distruptions in the area. Lightining strikes in Telangana, led to two tragic deaths. A sudden hit of rainfall in Hyderabad left the city with waterlogging and traffic distruptions in various parts.

The downpour caused severe damage to the city and affected the daily life of commuters. And in one tragic incident a suspected 40 year old man have been swept away while he was crossing a flooded area. Later his body was found in the Ramnagar area of the city, according to the reports.

Hyderabad experienced heavy rainfall in various areas, districts such as Wanaparthy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Khammam, Hanumankonda, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Nizamabad witnessed considerable rainfall. While on the other hand, Yadagirigutta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district recorded the highest rainfall at 17cm.

Traffic distruption in Hyderabad

The sudden hit of rainfall in Hyderabad led to massive traffic distruption the the various parts of the city. Heavy rainfall has imposed a number of challanges to the commuters. In addition to such challenges, ongoing construction of the Amberpet Flyover has led to traffic diversions in the concerned area. 
The daily routine of commuters have been effected. Commuters are requested to be aware of the distruptions and take alternative routes accordingly.

Tragic accidents due to lightning strike

Lightning strikes has led to tragic accidents in the city. Two people tragically lost their lives after being struck by lightning in the Jogulamba Gadwal. In Gattu and Maldakal a 40-year- old man and 15-year-old were struck in fields due to lightining. These incidents highlights the severity of the rainfall in the region.

Yellow alert in the city

Due to heavy rainfall in Hyderabad IMD has issued for yellow alert for the next four days. This alert affects nearly all districts, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri.
