Punjab police removed farmers from Shambhu and Khanauri borders
Punjab Police has removed the farmers who were camping there for more than a year from the protest sites located at Shambhu and Khanauri border. Earlier, the police had detained several farmer leaders including farmer leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal in Mohali while returning after a meeting with the central delegation. Police sources said late on Wednesday night that the protest site has been cleared after removing temporary structures and stages and removing the trolleys and other vehicles parked by the farmers.

Police told when traffic will be restored on blocked roads
Asked when traffic would be restored on the blocked roads, a senior police officer said the resumption of traffic after the Punjab side is cleared would depend on when the Haryana government removes the blockade. Protesting farmers, led by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, had been camping at the Shambhu (Shambhu-Ambala) and Khanauri (Sangrur-Jind) borders between Punjab and Haryana since February 13 last year after they were prevented from marching to Delhi.
