In an encounter in Doda, four security personnel, including an Army captain were killed by terrorists. DGP's allegations against political parties

In contrast, DGP Swain accused mainstream political parties in Jammu and Kashmir of facilitating Pakistan's infiltration into civil society. He said, "Pakistan successfully infiltrated all important aspects of civil society, thanks to so-called mainstream and regional politics in the Valley. There is ample evidence to show that many had owned the art of running with the hare and hunting with hounds, which left both the common person and the security bewildered, frightened, and confused."

Mufti's criticism of government actions

Mufti also criticized the government's use of stringent laws and tactics against the local population. "Passport and antecedents' verification has been weaponized, UAPA is being invoked against more and more people, the business community is being harassed, and our clerics are also not spared. They are being blackmailed. Bar Association people are being put behind bars," she said.
