With 67 candidates announced for the state's 90 assembly seats on Wednesday, several senior leaders have resigned in protest over being denied tickets. Some have even declared their intent to contest as independent candidates.

- Karan Dev Kamboj: The Haryana BJP OBC Morcha state president and former minister stepped down from all party posts after being denied a ticket for the Indri assembly seat.
- Vikas (alias Balle): Dadri Kisan Morcha district president resigned from the BJP in protest.
- Amit Jain: BJP youth state executive member and Sonipat election in-charge also submitted his resignation.
- Shamsher Gill: Resigned after failing to secure a ticket for the Uklana seat, which was awarded to former minister Anoop Dhanak.
- Sukhwinder Mandi: The state president of the Haryana BJP Kisan Morcha also resigned from the party.
