New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections scheduled for October 5. The new list includes 21 candidates, highlighting the partys continued preparation as the election date approaches.Among the notable candidates, Kavita Dalal has been selected to contest from Julana, where she will face off against Congresss Vinesh Phogat and BJPs Yogesh Bairagi. The party had previously faced a setback when its seat-sharing negotiations with Congress failed, leading to its decision to field candidates independently. To date, the AAP has declared a total of 61 candidates for the Haryana polls.The final date for filing nominations is September 12, just ahead of the elections. The Haryana Assembly, consisting of 90 members, will see polling on October 5. Historically, the AAP has had a mixed record in Haryana. In the 2019 elections, despite contesting 46 seats, the party did not secure any victories. The Congress and AAP had previously collaborated in the Delhi Lok Sabha polls but competed separately in Punjab.
