New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Haryana's Charkhi Dadri district, a migrant worker was brutally beaten to death by a cow protection group over unverified claims of consuming beef. The incident occurred on August 27, when Sabir Malik was lured to a shop under the pretext of selling empty plastic bottles and was mercilessly assaulted by a group of five individuals.

According to a senior police official, the attackers, identified as Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljit, and Sahil, suspected Malik of eating beef, which led to the heinous act. The police have arrested all five accused and are investigating the case further.

Gruesome actions

The gruesome murder has sparked outrage in the community, raising concerns about the increasing incidents of mob violence and the targeting of individuals based on mere suspicion. Malik, who was a migrant worker, had no prior record of any involvement in illegal activities, according to local authorities. His death has once again highlighted the growing menace of cow vigilantism in certain parts of India, where individuals are often targeted without evidence or due process.

The authorities have vowed to take strict action against the perpetrators, with the police emphasizing that such acts of violence will not be tolerated. The incident has also brought attention to the urgent need for stricter enforcement of laws against mob violence and the protection of vulnerable communities. As the investigation continues, the victim’s family and local residents are demanding justice and stronger measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
