New Delhi: In a shocking incident at a gym in Mumbai, a 20-year-old man named Yogesh Shinde was assaulted with a Mudgal, a wooden club used for exercise, by a gym trainer identified as Dharavi Nakel. The attack reportedly occurred when Nakel accused Shinde of staring at him angrily during a workout session.
CCTV footage from the gym captured the moment when Nakel abruptly picked up the Mudgal and struck Shinde on his head while he was exercising. Shinde was visibly in pain and held his head after the blow.
Witnesses present at the gym immediately confronted Nakel about his violent actions as captured on CCTV. The incident sparked outrage among gym-goers and staff alike.
Following the assault, Yogesh Shinde was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated for injuries. Although stable now, Shinde sustained a minor fracture as a result of the attack, as indicated in the police complaint filed.
Subsequently, Yogesh Shinde filed a formal police complaint against Dharavi Nakel. Mumbai Police acted swiftly and arrested Nakel on charges of assault and causing grievous hurt based on the complaint lodged by Shinde. The case remains under investigation as authorities gather evidence and statements from witnesses to ascertain the exact circumstances leading up to the assault at the gym in Mulund East, Mumbai.
