Gyanvapi case: In a significant development, a Varanasi court, on Wednesday, permitted Hindu devotees to worship within the sealed basements of Gyanvapi mosque. According to the court order, Hindu devotees can now conduct religious rituals at 'Vyas Ka Tekhana' in the sealed basement, bringing an end to a longstanding legal battle.
Moreover, the court also instructed the district administration to provide the arrangements for Hindu worship within a period of seven days.
"Everyone will now have the right to perform puja at 'Vyas Ka Tekhana.' The District Administration has been given seven days to make necessary arrangements," representing the Hindu side, confirmed the decision, said Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain.
"I see Varansi Court's recent order as historic as the order given by Justice Krishna Mohan Pandey in 1983, who ordered the opening of the locks of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya," he added.
