In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the region, a scrap trader from Gurugram was brutally gunned down in broad daylight, with the bone-chilling murder caught on CCTV cameras. The victim, identified as Sachin, was shot multiple times by three assailants in front of his horrified mother, wife, and two young children, one of whom was a toddler.

The harrowing footage captures the family's visit to a restaurant in Rohtak's Lakhan Majra on the evening of February 29, where they had stopped en route to attending a wedding in Punjab's Sangrur. As Sachin approached his SUV, the unsuspecting wife and one of the children entered the frame, followed by the mother and the toddler. Suddenly, a white car that had been lying in wait drove towards the SUV, prompting Sachin's wife to shout a warning about a potential robbery.

Without warning, two of the men opened fire at Sachin, who was seated in the driver's seat. While the wife rushed the children to safety, the mother, in a desperate attempt to intervene, ran towards her son and the assailants. The men then fired several more rounds, even pushing away Sachin's mother, who was trying to save her son's life.

In the aftermath of the brutal attack, the mother, who herself suffered a bullet injury to the leg, can be heard lamenting, "my child has been killed." The assailants were also captured on camera collecting something from the SUV before fleeing in the waiting car, taking Sachin's cellphone with them.

The responsibility for the chilling murder has been claimed by Rohit Godara, a member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In a viral video, Godara alleged that Sachin was a bookie associated with their rivals, the Kaushal Chaudhary-Amit Dagar gang. "The bookie (Sachin Goda) of Gurugram, who considered himself the biggest bookie of Delhi has been killed in Lakhan Majra, Haryana," Godara can be heard saying in the video.

However, Sachin's younger brother, Amit, refuted the claims, stating, "My brother was a scrap businessman. My mother was also shot in the leg. My brother was shot 10-15 times. He was a scrap dealer and property dealer." A childhood friend, Deepak, also corroborated Sachin's business interests, adding that he had received threats in the past, and one of his partners had been killed after extortion attempts several years ago.

The alleged murderers, who had reportedly escaped from a reform home in Jaipur and were hired to carry out the killing, were arrested by authorities near the Nepal border on Wednesday night while attempting to flee.

As the investigation unfolds, the brutal daylight murder has sparked outrage and calls for swift justice, highlighting the urgent need to address the growing menace of organized crime and gang violence in the region.
