Delhi gunfire (ANI)

In a shocking turn of events, gunfire broke out late Sunday night outside a popular cafe in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area. The incident, according to Delhi Police, occurred after a heated argument between the perpetrators and the cafe manager over seating arrangements.

The altercation reportedly involved a group of young men from Delhi's Jahangirpuri area, who had come to celebrate a birthday at 'Cafe Love Bites'. Tensions escalated quickly when the group began arguing with the manager over a table. In the midst of the verbal clash, one of the men brandished a pistol and fired shots into the air.

Swift police response leads to arrest

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. Authorities arrived promptly at the scene and managed to apprehend one suspect, identified as Ahmad. Efforts are currently underway to track down the remaining individuals involved in the altercation.

Delhi sees three gunfire incidents in two days

This marks the third shooting incident in the capital within just 48 hours. Earlier on Saturday, two similar incidents were reported. The first occurred in Mukherjee Nagar, where motorcycle-borne assailants fired shots outside a jewelry store, demanding Rs 1 crore in extortion. The attackers claimed affiliation with the notorious Bambiha Gang before fleeing the scene.

Later that day, another shooting was reported in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. Here, miscreants on motorcycles fired shots outside a sweet shop. This incident, too, is believed to be linked to an extortion demand. The shop owner had reportedly received a ransom call two weeks prior from gangster Kapil Sangwan, also known as Nandu, demanding Rs 2 crore. Police are actively investigating both cases, with multiple teams working to trace the suspects.
