A man in Gujarat's Kutch district was arrested after he set the huts of 15 families of daily wage labourers on fire, allegedly after they refused to work for him for free. The accused wanted to kill the workers, but none of them were harmed in the incident.
Mohammad Rafiq, the main accused used to take workers from the Anjar town for work and never paid them. Then the workers refused to work for him. Due to which Rafiq got enraged on Saturday night and threatened to burn your huts and burn you alive.
Due to the massive fire, all the huts and their goods were destroyed and the hard-earned money of 15 families who were left homeless. The cat and 7 kittens died in the fire. However, the families managed to escape without being injured.
Angered by this fire, people reached the police station and demanded registration of a crime against those who committed such a heinous crime. After a complaint was registered against the person who set the fire, Mohammad Rafiq, the police registered a case of attempt to murder and arrested the accused and started further investigation.
