Gujarat: Luxury bus with 70 passengers fall in gorge, at least two children dead

New Delhi: A luxury bus traveling from Surat to Saputara plunged into a deep gorge at Saputara Ghat in Gujarat on Sunday evening. The bus, carrying 70 passengers, met with the tragic accident resulting in the deaths of two children and leaving several others injured.

The accident took place on a national highway approximately 2 kilometers from the hill town of Saputara. The bus, attempting to overtake another vehicle, breached the protective wall and fell into the gorge. The incident highlights the perilous nature of the winding roads at Saputara Ghat, a well-known tourist destination.

Ambulance reaches in time 

Upon receiving news of the accident, the Saputara police and the 108 ambulance team promptly initiated rescue operations. The injured were quickly transported to the nearest primary health center for medical attention.
