Gujarat fire tragedy: A devastating fire in Rajkot's TRP Mall has plunged many families into sorrow, claiming 24 lives. The blaze broke out in the gaming zone of the mall, resulting in a tragic loss, mostly of students and children. Tragically,ย 9ย students have lost their lives.ย Rescue efforts are ongoing, with numerous fire engines deployed to control the situation. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has urged immediate action to manage the crisis.

The fire erupted in the gaming zone of TRP Mall, creating chaos and panic. Rescue teams quickly arrived on the scene, working tirelessly to control the fire and save lives. Fire engines and emergency services were dispatched promptly, battling the flames and attempting to rescue those trapped inside.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his concern regarding the tragic incident in Rajkot, where a fire erupted at a gaming zone on Saturday evening. Through a post on X, he assured the public that the local administration is actively engaged in offering assistance to those affected.

Expressing deep distress over the fire mishap in Rajkot, the Prime Minister extended his sympathies to all those who have lost their loved ones and offered prayers for the injured. He emphasized the government's commitment to providing all possible assistance to those impacted by the unfortunate incident.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has directed the administration and the Municipal Corporation to prioritize rescue and relief operations. "In the fire incident in the game zone in Rajkot, the Municipal Corporation and the administration have been instructed to carry out immediate rescue and relief work. Instructions have also been given to give priority to the arrangement of immediate treatment of the injured," he stated on Twitter.

Administrative action

Rajkot Police Commissioner, Raju Bhargava, provided details on the ongoing rescue operations. "The fire broke out in the TRP gaming zone in the afternoon. The rescue operations are on, and the fire is now under control. We are trying to retrieve as many bodies as possible. Around 20 bodies have been recovered so far and have been sent to the hospital for further investigation," he said.

The Commissioner also mentioned that the owner of the gaming zone, Yuvraj Singh Solanki, will face charges of negligence leading to the deaths. "An offense will be registered for negligence and the deaths that have occurred. Further investigation will take place once the rescue operations are complete," Bhargava added.
