Taking note of the prevalent Covid-19 situation, the Union Health Ministry of India has further eased Covid-19 guidelines for international visitors. According to the new guidelines, the government has dropped the earlier requirement for RT-PCR-based testing of a random 2% subset of international travellers.
Notably, the new guidelines will come into effect from July 20. However, the earlier advice and precautionary measures to be followed by airlines as well as international travellers in the context of Covid-19 shall continue to apply.
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare continues to follow the COVID-19 scenario closely.
