Good news! IMD issues yellow alert for Delhi; Light rain likely in parts of national capital today

So far, 12 people have been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi due to heatstroke. Of these, two have died, and 10 others are undergoing treatment.

A change in the weather was observed in Delhi on Saturday afternoon. Due to a western disturbance, strong dusty winds blew, and there was drizzle in some places. This provided relief to the people of Delhi from the heatwave. There is a possibility of continued relief from the scorching heat for the next four days.

Temperature slightly decreased on Saturday

The temperature in the capital slightly decreased on Saturday compared to Friday. While the maximum temperature was 45.8 degrees Celsius on Friday, it dropped to 44.2 degrees on Saturday. In many areas, the temperature was 3 to 4 degrees lower than on Friday. However, the minimum temperature increased. On Friday, the minimum temperature in Delhi was 29 degrees Celsius, which rose to 30.2 degrees on Saturday.

Relief from heatwave on Sunday

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be relief from the heatwave on Sunday as well. The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 43 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 29 degrees Celsius. During this period, there may be light drizzle accompanied by strong winds in some areas of Delhi. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Sunday. For the next 4 to 5 days, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 43 to 44 degrees, while the minimum temperature will likely be around 29 to 30 degrees.

3 people died due to heatwave 

Three people have died due to the heat in Delhi in the last three days. All three were victims of heatstroke caused by sun exposure. A 31-year-old man died at Lok Nayak Hospital on Saturday due to the heat. Additionally, two people who came to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment of heatstroke have lost their lives in the last two days.

Patients of heatwave continuously increasing 

So far, 12 people have been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi due to heatstroke. Of these, two have died, and 10 others are undergoing treatment. Five patients have been admitted to Lok Nayak Hospital due to heatstroke, and four patients have been admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Meanwhile, BJP MLAs have become active regarding the water problem in Delhi. Water is being sent to the colonies by tanker as per the requirement, on behalf of the MLAs. BJP MLA from Ghonda, Ajay Mahawar, issued helpline numbers 9818383846 and 9312593299 for his area on Saturday.
