Crime News: In a tragic twist of fate, a love triangle turned deadly in Gomia, Jharkhand, when two brothers fell for the same girl. This dramatic tale of romance and betrayal culminated in a shocking murder, leaving a family in turmoil and a community demanding justice. In the small village of Jhirki in the Kathara OP area, Vinod and Manish, who were cousins, found themselves entangled in a complex relationship with the same girl. Vinod had been involved with her for five years, and their relationship had even reached the point of marriage discussions. 

However, Vinod began to suspect that the girl was not entirely faithful. His suspicions were confirmed when he discovered through call records that she was also involved with Manish.

Love turns to jealousy

Consumed by rage and jealousy, Vinod decided to take matters into his own hands. According to the police, he visited a blacksmith in Gomia to commission a sharp axe, plotting to end his cousin's life. On the day of the murder, Vinod traveled to his maternal uncle's house in Jhirki, accompanied by his mother, and found Manish alone at home. Seizing the opportunity, Vinod attacked Manish with the weapon, killing him in cold blood before fleeing the scene.

Chaos and arrest

The brutal murder sent shockwaves through the family and the village. In the aftermath, chaos erupted as villagers blocked roads in protest, demanding swift action and justice. They even attempted to halt the postmortem process, insisting on transparency regarding the incident.

The police quickly intensified their investigation, scrutinizing CCTV footage and interrogating Vinod, who initially tried to mislead them. However, under pressure, he confessed to the crime, leading to his arrest within 24 hours.
