New Delhi: In a dramatic incident at Ludhiana railway station on Thursday morning, a 15-year-old girl was found hanging precariously from high tension wires on a foot overbridge. The shocking sight left onlookers breathless as they attempted to help the girl, who kept moving from one end to the other, making rescue efforts incredibly challenging. Eventually, railway officials managed to switch off the power supply and safely bring the girl down before transporting her to the hospital.
The high-stakes drama began when the young girl, identified as a resident of Sunet village, somehow climbed onto the foot overbridge and got suspended from the high tension wires. The people present at the station were initially paralyzed with shock but soon rallied to try and save her. Despite their best efforts, the girl’s constant movement between the ends of the bridge thwarted their attempts to reach her.
Fortunately, the gap between the foot overbridge and the high tension wires prevented the girl from making contact with the live wires, sparing her from electrocution. After nearly an hour of tense efforts, railway officials intervened by cutting off the power supply, allowing them to rescue the girl and rush her to the civil hospital for medical attention.

Sources indicate that the girl might have been mentally disturbed, which could have led to her dangerous actions. The situation could have turned disastrous had a train arrived at platform number six during the ordeal, but luckily, no trains were scheduled at that time, preventing a potential tragedy.
