Ghaziabad: Two women blackmail, extort money from police constable, he takes his own life

Both accused Prachi and Sonia, in the neighborhood, targeted Pammi, a police constable residing nearby. They threatened to falsely implicate him in a rape case if he didn't give them money as they trapped Pammi in blackmail. Over two years, they extorted a total of 6 lakh rupees from the helpless police officer.

New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad where two women Prachi and Sonia allegedly blackmailed a police constable named Pammi. They did it to such an extent that it led him to take his own life. Both threatened him with false accusations of a serious crime, forcing him to giving them money. 

Blackmail leads to death of police

Both accused Prachi and Sonia were resident of the neighborhood, where the police constable Pammi resided. They threatened to falsely implicate him in a rape case if he didn't give them money as they trapped Pammi and started blackmailing him. 

Over the eriod of two years, they extorted a total of Rs 6 lakhs from the helpless police officer. The constant harassment and fear of being falsely accused had a major impact on Pammi's mental health and led him to commit suicide. 

Pammi's cry for help

Pammi, a dedicated constable assigned to secure EVMs in Ghaziabad, tragically ended her life using a government-issued firearm. Before her death, she left a heart-wrenching video explaining her desperate situation. Pammi disclosed being in a two-year relationship with a woman who extorted six lakh rupees from her and threatened to file a false FIR. 

This shocking incident has raised serious concerns about the challenges faced by police officers and the urgent need for mental health support in such demanding professions. Pammi's story highlights the vulnerability of individuals facing extortion and emotional distress, urging society to provide better safeguards and support systems.
