New Delhi: Sunil, a traffic police officer stationed in Ghaziabad, is under fire for reportedly abusing his position and harassing a woman. In a disturbing incident that has garnered public attention, Sunil allegedly attacked the woman with a stick, raising serious concerns about his behavior. The officer is also accused of regularly beating stray dogs with whips and sticks, further fueling the outrage.

Social media users intensely criticise the incident

Social media users took to Twitter to highlight the incident, calling for swift action against Sunil.

One user, Meera, wrote, "What kind of behavior is this? A public servant is behaving like a goon. Kindly take strict action against such corrupt police employees who think they can do anything under the guise of a police uniform."

Another user, Shakul Bhalla, echoed the sentiment, calling Sunil's actions "very irresponsible and violent behavior of a traffic police officer" and urged authorities to take action.

Kuldeep Sharma, a representative of PFA (People for Animals), suggested that a formal complaint be filed for both departmental and legal action against the officer, citing his unfit demeanor for police service. Others also raised concerns about Sunil's potential treatment of humans, given his cruelty toward animals.

The incident has raised broader questions about police accountability and the misuse of power. Citizens have demanded strict action to ensure that such behavior does not go unchecked, with many calling for disciplinary measures against Sunil.
