The Ghaziabad police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Pinky Chaudhary, the president of Hindu Raksha Dal, and 15-20 of his supporters for allegedly assaulting a group of Muslims. The incident reportedly occurred on allegations that the victims were Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in the area.

The attack took place in a local slum in Ghaziabad where Chaudhary and his followers accused the residents of being Bangladeshi migrants. However, the police, after conducting an investigation, confirmed that none of the individuals living in the slum were from Bangladesh.

"Our investigations reveal that the families residing in these slums are not from Bangladesh. These families are originally from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh," the police stated.

As per police statement, the FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including charges related to assault and promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, etc. The incident has sparked concerns about the rising instances of communal violence in the region.

Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the assault. The police are also closely monitoring the situation to prevent any further communal tension in the area.
